Benedictines are drawn from almost every major denomination. Benedictines balance work and prayer. Benedictines lead orderly, but not compulsive spiritual lives. Benedictines prize balance. St. Benedict said, “Give the strong something to yearn for, and the weak nothing to run from.” Our Benedictine Chapter, St. Anthony of the Desert, meets on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 12:45 p.m. to sing one of the Benedictine Prayer Book services, to discuss the life of prayer and worship, and of course, to eat. We are a Chapter of St. Scholastica Monastery in Fort Smith, AR, and are in Association with St. Benedict’s Abbey in Bartonville, IL. Our Chapter includes both Oblates and Companions of St. Benedict and is open to all.
Come and join us, we’d love to have you.
